Alumni are a basic constituent of any higher educational institution. The alumni are the one who are responsible for the outgrowth of any institute to a wider arena. MANIT, Bhopal recognizes the potential role that an alumni can play in fostering its growth and thus initiates an “Alumni Co-ordination Cell”, a central body that would commence and co-ordinate all Alumni activities.
MACT was a pioneer engineering college when I used to study and its transformation to MANIT has resulted into positive transformation. This cell is to its alumni for the pride and satisfaction of contributing to the progress of the institute. The institute celebrated its Golden Jubilee last year and is tagged as an “institute of national importance”. I wish to intend this further by making it an institute of “global importance” and who better that alumni can abet us in achieving the desired. The institute, in its 50 years or say 50 ‘golden years’ has produced technocrats, achievers ,role models and what not .By establishing this cell ,I offer my sincere gratitude to the son of the alma mater and I wish the relationship fosters strongly in the coming future.
An alumni can be a guardian to present students .It is through their efforts that the institute expects to convince industry executives and entrepreneurs that this institute can provide solutions to many of their technical problems and can help them secure high positions under global competition. It’s only a matter of time and we will be able to plot out the positive changes being brought out through this cell. I request every one of you to come forward and contribute in any way you possibly can.
I once again would like to thank you and hope to receive positive feedbacks very soon.

Dear Alumni Friends, NIT Bhopal is proud of its 40,000 strong alumni who have contributed substantially for the growth of the Nation. The institute is proud to have them all. In the endeavor of making the institute stronger, the initiative of developing an Alumni Co-ordination has taken place. I myself being an Alumni of this institute feel very nostalgic about the years I have spent as an student in this institute and I am sure every MACTian/MANITian would connect themselves to the institute in a very pleasant way.
