The B. Architecture degree program was established in 1963 with an intake of 15 students in UG program which has increased to 40 now. In 1992 a post graduate course in Urban Development Planning was started with intake of ten candidates through GATE and additional minimum 5 students over & above sponsored candidates. The department is regular winner of NASA trophies.

The department has been producing Architects since the last 35 years. The alumni of the department are successful as practicing architects all over the country and even in government/semi government organizations . Some of the alumni are academicians in various national and state level institutions.

To enrich the society by providing architects and planners of highest quality, comparable to the very best in the world, who would take leadership to promote, disseminate, develop and transfer technology for the overall development of the society.
